The Monster is an ambiguous foe that relentlessly hunts down the player. It appears to be a black cloud with arms and teeth that hovers just above the ground. It will also make screeching sounds. The player has no defense against it other than to hide. Using the Lantern makes it easier for The Monster to see the player.
